Website - major update

   Aug 10, 2014

At last !

It’s been quite some time since I’ve wanted to update my website.

Why did I do ?

First I got rid of Wordpress mostly because it was too big for what I need. Instead of it, I now use Jekyll which is a static site generator.

It takes a template directory containing raw text files in various formats, runs it through Markdown (or Textile) and Liquid converters, and spits out a complete, ready-to-publish static website.

On the design side, I’ve completely changed it, I wanted something cleaner and more simple.

I’ve a bit restructured the site, there are now five sections:

  • Root - the last 5 posts
  • Work - all my personal projects
  • Archives - all posts
  • About me - I let you guess
  • Contact - a simple form if you need to contact me
